About Us

The Beginning

4 Paws Palace opened its doors for the first time in July of 2005.  The Blackburn/Medaris families constructed the building and founded the kennel at that time.  Much thought and care had been taken in the planning and establishment of this canine only boarding kennel. The atmosphere was intentionally made to be open and homey.  A place that the public would feel comfortable taking their family member while they had to be away from home.

Dr. Brooke Case and her husband, Mark had been talking about starting a boarding kennel business for quite some time and when The Palace went up for sale, it was like it was meant to be.  The Cases purchased the kennel in January of 2007 and have enjoyed caring for their guests ever since.

The Present

Mark is now the manager of the kennel and we have support staff that help us care for your loved ones on a regular basis.  Mark really enjoys working with your pets and talking with the human members of the family when they come to visit as well.  We still offer the same care that began from day one including surround sound and televisions as well as late night “tuck ins” after the last potty break of the evening.

Although we certainly encourage all of our patrons to have their pet’s vaccinations up to date before their stay with us, because Dr. Case is available regularly, we can also offer to up date those immunizations during the stay should time get away from you or last minute arrangements need to be made and a trip to your regular veterinarian cannot be accomplished. In the event that your pet becomes ill during their stay, Dr. Case can implement treatment in a timely fashion or consult with your regular veterinarian about chronic conditions. THE

FUTURE

We plan to continue to offer the best care possible to your faithful friend during their stay with us at 4 Paws Palace.  We love the happy faces that come through our door every day and marvel at how quickly our guests make this place their home away from home.

In the future, we are considering offering office hours for routine annual check ups and vaccinations at our location.  This service will possibly allow individuals from the northern part of Bartholomew County as well as southern Johnson and Shelby Counties another option for routine veterinary care.  If you would be interested in this service for your pet, please let us know by contacting us to give your input through this website.

Deciding to entrust the care of your dog to a boarding kennel is a huge decision.  We want you to be confident and relaxed in your decision to leave your pet with us.  We look forward to serving you and your beloved pet for many years to come. Please, always feel free to call us or just stop by for a visit during our open hours Monday through Saturday.
